Trump Gives His Opinions on the Presidential Candidates…Who Cares?
I like Donald Trump. I’m an avid fan of his reality show “The Apprentice.” I’ve learned much about how to be a good manager and planner. But really, do I care much about his political opinions? NOPE! I think America feels the same.
He said on CNN recently, “Weapons of mass destruction, it was a total lie. It was a way of attacking Iraq, which he thought was going to be easy and it turned out to be the exact opposite of easy.” Gee whiz, Trump, like everyone hasn’t made that analysis. He labeled former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld a “disaster.” We know that!
“Because, I’ll tell you, this country is just going to get further bogged down,” Trump said. “They’re in a civil war over there. There’s nothing that we’re going to be able to do with a civil war.” Wow, what a great analysis! It’s so fresh and perceptive.
His opinions on the current presidential candidates are very much the same for each individual. Sen. Hillary Clinton is “very talented, very smart,” Sen. Barack Obama a “star,” former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani “very formidable in every way,” and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney a “very attractive guy.” His comments has swayed my opinions on the current candidates. Allelujah!
Reporters should stop asking Donald Trump what his political opinions are. I don’t think people care because it’s stuff that we’ve heard already from other sources. However, they should keep jabbering him with questions on how to strike it rich in real estate, more about his plans for The Apprentice, more about his business goals, and where the economy is headed. Keep him out of politics!
(Although, I like that he “respects” Senator John McCain.)
