Public Kissing…Banned in India!
India has plans to prosecute infamous Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai. She has been summoned to appear in front of judges to explain why her and Richard Gere participated in an evil plot to flood television sets with the outrageous act of…public affection. India’s been doing this for a while, but since a white man is involved, the story has reached ’scandalous’ proportions.
This isn’t the first time that the Indian government has gone insane over kissing. An Israeli couple were fined the equivalent of $11 because they had the nerve to kiss in front of a priest, who was so appalled that he reported it to the police. Their equivalent of a SWAT team stormed the place and arrested the law-breaking couple.
Why is the Indian government so…prudish? It has something to do with the Obscenity Act, which had its infancy during the British colonial rule era. The land where kissing and hot sex was born now is a suppressor of kissing and [possibly] hot sex.
The ban on public kissing is reminiscent of Victorian Era “morality.” In the Ancient days, sex was simply enjoyed for the purpose of fun or recreation. Cultures worshipped sex and created methods for maximizing pleasure. Thanks to the “morality,” anything sexual is a sin and must be heavily condemned. This includes kissing.
The Indian debacle shows why countries need to outlaw irrational sex laws. Public kissing should never be illegal because it’s beautiful. People who don’t approve of a public peck on the lip are jealous that they’re alone. In the U.S., some states have laws banning masturbation and they are actively enforced (look at Michigan). Heard of how a 17-year old boy ended up with a 10 year sentence because his girlfriend gave him a mind-numbing, slobbering blow job? The public must begin an international outcry campaign to rid countries and states/provinces of irrelevant laws.
